Learning from Facilitators Around the World

Dublin, Ireland – September 19th, 2025

On a recent personal visit to Dublin, I found myself seated in the heart of Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street – a place that hums with the rhythm of conversations, clinking teacups, and timeless stories.

Over steaming pots of tea and the warmth of wood – lined walls, I met two incredible facilitators – Yvonne Rosenkranz and Miriam O Donoghue – fellow members of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).

What was meant to be a casual morning chat soon turned into a masterclass in facilitation, reflection, and human connection. We spoke about our practices, the evolving landscape of facilitation across continents, and the quiet power of dialogue to build bridges.

Every conversation reaffirmed my belief that learning never stops – especially when you choose to learn from facilitators around the world

A heartfelt thank – you to Yvonne and Miriam for their time, insights, and generosity – and to David Bishop M.Sc. (English/French) for staying connected even while in France that day.

As I walked out of Bewley’s that cloudy – rainy morning, I carried not just notes or ideas – but a shared vow each #facilitator silently holds:

  • to help transform individuals and organizations,
  • to nurture dialogue where there was once doubt, and
  • to create sustainable impact with the pure intent of “making a difference”.

Here’s to learning, unlearning, and co – creating – “one meaningful #conversation at a time.”

Looking forward to meeting the IAF Ireland community again next year – to learn, collaborate, and build bridges that cross not just geographies, but hearts.
