Roots & Wings
Honouring the ones who seeded the movement.
Celebrating the ones who gave us flight.
Post 6 | Ravi. Baviskar
Some βfacilitatorsβ arrive with frameworks.
Some arrive with credentials.
And then there are a few who arrive with βsoil on their feet and SERVICE in their soulβ.
Ravi Baviskar is unmistakably one of them.
Grounded. Rustic. Deeply human.

Ravi wears the Being of a Facilitator not as a role, but like a quiet cloak –
Comfortable. Unassuming. Ever – present.
To know Ravi is to know that service is not an activity for him – it is his DNA.
Whether it is working with farmers, supporting specially – abled children, advocating girl child education, or standing beside the underprivileged – βπ ππππ πππ‘ πππππ’πππ π πππ£πππβ¦ βπ π πππππ¦ ππππ ππ‘.
Within the facilitation world, Ravi is a legend at International Association of Facilitators (IAF) – India ChapterΒ – a former Lead for Outreach Programs, Serving Pune IAF Hub and giving back tirelessly.
And even beyond IAF, he currently serves another learning fraternity as the Chairperson of ISTD Pune Chapter, extending the same values of humility and contribution.

ππ£π π‘βπ βπ’πππ – a lover of DIY paper flowers and paper craft –
And always like a gentle Santa Claus, he turns up with handmade Amla and Imli candies, distributing not just sweets, but smiles, joy and happiness.
Many of us have also been blessed by his hospitality – at his warm, cozy home for multiple meet – ups, creating spaces where conversations flow freely and hearts open easily.
Recently, sitting at his home, eating Pooranpoli, was yet another unforgettable experience. Ravi stood there himself – narrating stories of tradition from his village, insisting I eat more, feeding not just my stomach but my soul.
My Profound Learning from Ravi:
βTrue #facilitation begins with service – and service begins with humility.β
From Ravi, I learned that you donβt need complexity to create impact.
When your intentions are pure and your heart is open, even the simplest #metaphor can move mountains.
Large – hearted. Selfless. Deeply rooted.
Ravi continues to inspire me – and so many of us in the IAF India Chapter – simply by being fully, authentically himself.
Ravi, thank you for the roots you represent – grounded in community, culture, and compassion.
And for the wings you offer – reminding us that joy, generosity, and service can coexist beautifully.
Grateful to walk this path in your circle.
