W is for Winning Teams!

What do these winning team look like??

What are the elements that make a winning team??

What are the behaviours these winning teams display??

Well – setting up a ‘Winning Team’ involves more than just putting together a few people and handing them a task.

A winning-team needs an effective team process in place for it to operate to the best of its ability.

Several studies have shown that some of the elements of an effective team process involves:

1. providing clarity to each team members
2. proper guidelines for the teamwork
3. precise role definitions for each team member
4. adequate resources for this team to perform to their optimal best
5. well thought out appraisal systems (R&R ) for theses teams
6. carefully designed training n development programs for this winning team

Winning teams are created when each person knows they are accepted by the team and each member chooses to participate to give their 200%.

These winning teams are led by a strong ‘Leader’ who demonstrates integrity, competence, discipline, involves every team member, backs up every member and is someone that people trust.

The question is: ‘have you lately worked to create a winning team’??

If your answer is Yes, then – all the best.

If your answer is No, then also – all the best (pun intended).
