3 times in a row a participant complained of #focus.
“I cannot seem to focus on what you are explaining Sir” said this middle-manager Mr X, of a large FMCG company during my program on ‘Creativity & Innovation’.
I chose to respond instead of react.
Took a deep breath and requested all participants into an impromptu activity.
There were smiles on every participant’s face as they finished 2 levels.
A sudden realization prompted me to extend the activity to 3 more levels with a debrief and discussion at every stage.
It began to get more interesting with every round.
And to my amazement the same participant Mr X was now thinking on his toes and came up with some brilliant answers.
Participants took the entire program to a different level.
While one of them (Mr X ) got deeper sense of focus, others got a higher degree of #clarity.
And I walked back with #creativity & #innovation of a different kind all together.
Thank you Mr X for asking that question and changing the course of program for the day.
Each one of us enriched in more than one way of the other with some powerful lessons to take home.
