Years ago, my father put his hand on my shoulder and said, “you seem to be lost in something that is bothering you”.

And I simply gave a nod and buried my head on the table.

He said from behind, “it’s easy to get lost in our thoughts, especially when facing a problem or feeling overwhelmed”.

“However, clarity doesn’t come from thinking; it comes from taking action’ added my father, this time with a firm tone.

Those were re-assuring words from my father and in the next few minutes I found myself listing possibilities for taking next decisive-action.

We can’t just sit around and hope things will work out; we must make things happen.

This doesn’t mean that you should take rash or impulsive actions; rather, it means taking deliberate steps towards finding best-possible-solutions.

So if you’re feeling lost or uncertain, take a deep breath, follow your instinct and take that first step.

Once you get started, you’ll find that it’s much easier to keep going.
